Ambassador Wu Sike met with Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Dr.Tarek Kamel at Intelligence Village on June 5.They held a discussion on strengthening bilateral cooperation in communication and high-tech domains.

Ambassador Wu briefed Tarek the situation of communication industry and the achievements in high-tech sector in recent years in China. Wu made a review over bilateral cooperation and plentiful achievements ever made in this regard. Wu said there exists a bright future for the bilateral cooperation, and China will encourage companies such as Hua Wei and Zhong Xing to invest in Egypt in this field. Wu said that China will further promote cooperation with Egypt in this regard . Wu also extended his welcome for Tarek to pay a visit to China at convenience. Tarek said he hopes to visit China as soon as possible for the sake of feeling changes taking place in China.

Tarek briefed Wu the situation of the Intelligence Village and expressed his satisfaction over bilateral cooperation in communications and information. Tarek said Egypt welcome Chinese companies such as Hua Wei and Zhong Xing to open office in the village. He added Egypt is keen to absorb advanced technologies from China and cooperate with China in e-government system and long-distance teaching which can provide many more job opportunities.

After the meeting, Wu visited the Village accompanied by Public Relations Director of Communication Department.
