BEIJING, Oct.9 (Xinhuanet) -- The Chinese Embassy in Egypt has confirmed that no Chinese people were killed in the Taba bombings, China Radio International reported Saturday.

    In a statement, the embassy says after the blasts, Ambassador Wu Sike immediately ordered relevant departments to follow the incident and check whether Chinese people were killed or injured in the blasts.

    About 4,000 Chinese live in Egypt.
