Egyptian President Sisi met with the special envoy of President Xi Jinping, Minister of Education

On November 6, Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi met in Sharm El Sheikh with the special envoy of President Xi Jinping, Minister of Education Mr. Chen Baosheng who attended the World Youth Forum on invitation.


Minister Chen conveyed President Xi's cordial greetings to President Sisi and handed President Xi's letter on World Youth Forum with President Xi's signature. Minister Chen introduced the achievements of the 19th National Congress of CPC, and expressed that China has always viewed and promoted China-Egypt relationship from a strategic and long-term perspective and is ready to make joint efforts with Egypt to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of  state, deepen pragmatic cooperation in all fields between the two countries and make new progress in the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Egypt.


President Sisi thanked President Xi's sending a special envoy to attend the World Forum and warmly congratulated on the successful conclusion of the 19th National Congress of CPC and asked Minister Chen to convey his sincere regards and best wishes to President Xi. President Sisi said Egypt admires China's all around developing achievement and hopes to benefit from the experiences of China's reform and development. Egypt will respond positively to President Xi's proposal to jointly build the "Belt and Road" and work with China to push forward production capacity-building cooperation and related projects.


At the invitation of President Sisi, Minister of Education Chen Baosheng attended the opening ceremony of the World Youth Forum in Sharm El-Sheikh as special envoy of the President Xi on November 5.
