Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia

On November 3, 2019 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia in Bangkok.

Li Keqiang said, China and Cambodia are friendly neighbors. The Chinese side supports Cambodia's choice of development path suitable to its national conditions and the Cambodian government's efforts in safeguarding sovereignty and security, as well as in developing the country's economy and improving the well-being of its people. The Chinese side is willing to enhance high-level exchanges with the Cambodian side, and expand cooperation in various areas including infrastructure, so as to further promote the two countries' comprehensive strategic cooperation and bring more benefits to the two peoples.

Hun Sen congratulated on the 70th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China. He said, Cambodia and China enjoy close and friendly relations. I have met with Premier Li Keqiang for several times this year. The two countries have achieved fruitful results in jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative as well as cooperation in the field of law enforcement. The Cambodian side is willing to sign a free trade agreement with the Chinese side as soon as possible, and welcomes more investments from Chinese enterprises.
