| Egyptian President Mubarak To Visit China in January |

At the invitation of Chinese President Jiang Zemin, President Muhammed Hosni Mubarak of the Arab Republic of Egypt will pay a state visit to China from January 23 to 26. During the visit, President Mubarak will meet with President Jiang and other Chinese leaders to explore ways to further strengthen the strategic cooperation between the two countries and exchange views on international and regional issues of common interest. During the recent visit to Egypt, Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan said that President Jiang was looking forward to seeing President Mubarak again. He noted that frequent meetings between the leaders of the two countries is an important manifestation of the strategic cooperative relations between China and Egypt and is conducive to the enhancement of bilateral cooperation and coordination. He expressed the conviction that Mubarak's upcoming visit to China will further contribute to the strategic cooperative relations between the two countries. |
