Ambassador Wu Sike Presents His Credentials to Egyptian President Mubarak Hosni

The newly-appointed Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Mr. Wu Sike presented his credentials to Egyptian President Mubarak on October 1, 2003. They also had cordial conversation.

Ambassador Wu conveyed cordial greetings to President Mubarak from Chinese President Hu Jintao and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. He said that the Chinese new leadership attaches great importance to the China-Egypt strategic cooperative relations. Ambassador Wu expressed the hope that the bilateral relations would be brought to a new level. He also welcomed President Mubarak to visit China again at his convenience.

Ambassador Wu Sike wished prosperity and wealth to the Egyptian people and good health to President Mubarak. He also wished progress in China-Egypt relations.

President Mubarak said that Egypt has special relations with China and all generations of Chinese leaders are good friends of his. He attaches importance to the China-Egypt strategic cooperative relations, and hoped this relationship continues to develop. He asked Ambassador Wu to convey his greetings to President Hu Jintao and other Chinese leaders.

Ambassador Wu Sike arrived in Cairo, Egypt抯 Capital on September 21.
