Bilateral cooperation with China, especially in health and medicine, was discussed yesterday in a ceremony organised by the Medical Syndicate, in honour of Chinese Ambassador to Cairo, Liu Xiaoming, for his persistent efforts in this respect.
Addressing the ceremony, Minister of Health Mohammed Awad Tag-Eddin, referred to the insulin factory that had been opened in Egypt recently, with the cooperation of China.
Tag-Eddin expressed hopes that bilateral relations between the two countries would open up fresh prospects for the future.
Addressing the ceremony, the Chinese Ambassador promised to exert more efforts to develop bilateral ties between the two countries, expecially in pharmaceutical production. He added that his country had a long history in this field and have produced many medications to treat cancer.
He referred to President Mubaraks visit to China in 1999, saying that it had contributed much to developing bilateral relations.
