CAIRO, September 24 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has accepted the letter of credentials of Chinese Ambassador Liu Xiaoming in Cairo.


They had cordial conversations. President Mubarak asked Ambassador Liu to convey his best regards to Chinese President Jiang Zemin, saying he looks forward to his coming visit to China in the near future.


While conveying Jiang’s cordial greetings to President Mubarak, Ambassador Liu said that President Mubarak’s coming visit to China would bring Sino-Egyptian friendly and cooperative relations to a new high.


Ambassador Liu arrived in Cairo on September 1.
