Dr. Yussef Botruss Ghali, the minister of economy and foreign trade announced that anmemorandum of understanding would be signed in October between the quarantine authorities of China and Egypt to set the rules for producing and exporting the Egyptian orange, lemon etc. to the Chinese market.
Dr. Ghali said a delegation from the Egyptian ministry of agriculture and ministry of economy has completed all the negotiations about the above-mentioned MOU during his visit in the last few days.
Dr. Ghali also noted that Dr. Yussef Wali , the vice prime minister and the minister of agriculture, had invited the Chinese side to fix the signature on the MOU in Cairo. This was announced at a exporting forum held in Alexandria.
General M .AB. Esmail, the head of chamber of commerce, and Mr. Moustafa Al.Naggar, the head of the Alexandria chamber , also attended this forum.
Mr.. Sayed Abo Al. Komsan, the first under secretary of state of the ministry of economy and foreign trade, has announced that the MOU to be signed covers all the rules and conditions to guarantee no-entry of any ill-fruit to the Chinese market. He also emphasized that this deal between Egypt and China would greatly help to open other new international markets with similar guaranteeing system and to increase export of Egyptian orange, lemon and etc.
Dr. Yussef Batross Ghali, the minister of economy and foreign trade, emphasized that the government attaches importance to removal of all the obstacles facing the different Egyptian export commodity sectors since exporting is considered to be the engine of the economy development .
Dr. Ghali also mentioned that the president Mobarak has given instructions to the government to work hard for increasing the Egyptian exports.
