Starting from 1st December 2021, the consular legalization applications of Egyptian citizens as well as third-country citizens should be submitted to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC).

2.Office hour and fees (during the pandemic)
Application submission and payment of fees: 9am to 3pm, Sunday
Collection:9am to 4pm, the next Sunday
Fees: The CVASC will charge consular legalization fees on behalf of the Embassy. Extra service fees (for fast track service) will also be charged. For more information, please visit the official websites of CVASC or inquire via telephone.
Processing time (after the pandemic): a maximum of 4 working days after submission for standard consular legalization application, and a minimum of 3 working days for fast track service (during the pandemic nofast track service)

3.Additional notes
Consular legalization applications filed by Chinese citizens can be submitted directly to the Chinese Embassy in Egypt or the CVASC. If submitted through CVASC, service charge may apply.
Applicants(both Chinese citizens and Non-Chinese citizens) from Alexandria, Ismailia, Suez and Port Said can submit consular legalization applications to Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Alexandria as usual.
The CVASC will be responsible for services including answering inquiries, receiving applications, returning documents and collecting charges for legalization on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt. The Chinese Embassy in Egypt is in charge of the processing and approval of the relevant applications. The CVASC will strictly follow the laws of China and Egypt to ensure the security of personal information and the contents of the documents submitted.
