Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt of Denmark

In the morning of September 10, 2014, Premier Li Keqiang met in Tianjn with Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt of Denmark, who came to China for the attendance at the annual meeting of the Summer Davos Forum 2014.

Li Keqiang expressed that China-Denmark relations have achieved leapfrog development in recent years. China is willing to, taking the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relationship in the next year as opportunities, deepen political mutual trust and expand practical cooperation with Denmark, and expand the bilateral cooperation in industries such as energy conservation, environmental protection and information and telecommunications to food safety, medical services and other fields, so as to uplift the China-Denmark comprehensive strategic partnership of win-win cooperation to a new level.

Li Keqiang pointed out that China and Denmark enjoy sound coordination in international affairs. He hopes that both sides could enhance dialogue and exchanges in climate changes policy and other fields and keep close communication and coordination in international and regional affairs. He expects Denmark to continue to play a constructive role in promoting the development of China-EU relations.

Helle Thorning-Schmidt said that the Denmark-China relations are standing at the best period in history. Denmark stands ready to jointly celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relationship with China, deepen Denmark-China comprehensive strategic partnership, and enhance the cooperation in Arctic affairs and other fields, boosting the EU-China relations for greater development.

Sun Chunlan, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee, and Yang Jing, Member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, State Councilor and Secretary General of the State Council were present at the meeting.

On the same day, Li Keqiang also met with Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich of Russia, Deputy Prime Minister Dendev Terbishdagva of Mongolia and Deputy Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili of Georgia, who were in China for the annual meeting of the Summer Davos Forum 2014.
