In the afternoon of June 16 local time, at the invitation of Prime Minister David Cameron of the UK, Premier Li Keqiang arrived at the London Heathrow Airport by special plane, starting his official visit to the UK. Mme. Cheng Hong, wife of Premier Li Keqiang, arrived by the same plane.

Li Keqiang expressed that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of China-UK comprehensive strategic partnership, and the bilateral relations are facing important opportunities of inheriting the past and forging ahead into the future. I look forward to making in-depth exchanges of views on bilateral relations and other topics of common concern with the leaders of the UK, charting the new course for and injecting new vitality into the bilateral relations, so as to accelerate the development of China-UK relations in the new decade.

Senior officials from the UK government, H.E. Liu Xiaoming, Chinese Ambassador to the UK and other officials greeted Premier Li Keqiang and his wife at the airport.

During the visit, Li Keqiang will meet with Queen Elizabeth II, hold the China-UK Prime Ministers' Annual Meeting with Prime Minister David Cameron, deliver a speech to the UK think tanks, attend the events including China-UK Global Economic Round-table and the China-UK Financial Forum, and meet with representatives from the business and other circles of both countries.
