Premier Li Keqiang Arrives in Tashkent for the 12th Prime Ministers' Meeting of the SCO Member States

On 28 November 2013, Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council arrived at the airport in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, to attend the 12th Prime Ministers' Meeting of the SCO Member States. Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev led senior government officials to receive the delegation at the airport. Zhang Xiao, Chinese Ambassador to Uzbekistan, as well greeted at the airport.

During the Meeting, Li Keqiang will elaborate on China's policies and propositions on deepening SCO practical cooperation in all fields and exchange in-depth views with precipitating state leaders on strengthening cooperation among SCO member states and the organization's development as well as on promoting regional peace, stability and development. Li Keqiang will also meet with Uzbek President Islam Karimov, hold talks with Prime Minister Mirziyoev and meet with other relevant state leaders present at the Meeting.

Li Keqiang arrived in Uzbekistan after attending the China-CEEC Summit and successfully concluding the official visit to Romania. Upon the departure from Romania, Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta as well as Foreign Minister and other senior government officials, Chinese Ambassador to Romania Huo Yuzhen and others bid farewell at the airport.
