Premier Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Lithuania and Estonia

On the afternoon of 25 November local time, Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council met in Bucharest respectively with Chairman Vjekoslav Bevanda of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic of Croatia, Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius of Lithuania and Prime Minister Andrus Ansip of Estonia. Li Keqiang introduced to them the deployment made by the Third Plenary Session of the 18th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee on fully deepening reform, pointing out that the reform will enhance the vitality and impetus for China's development and will bring more opportunities for China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) cooperation.

When meeting with Vjekoslav Bevanda, Li Keqiang expressed congratulations on Bosnia and Herzegovina taking the path of peace, stability and national reconciliation and expressed support for the choice of Bosnia and Herzegovina to join the European integration. Hope both sides will work together to effectively implement the existing cooperation projects, to ride on the momentum and to actively promote cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, building materials and electric power. China supports domestic businesses for investing in Bosnia and Herzegovina and for joining in relevant industrial upgrading. China is ready to strengthen cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina on culture and education so as to unceasingly enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries.

Bevanda expressed that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a sincere friend and partner of China. Bosnia and Herzegovina admires China's enormous development achievements and is grateful for China's precious support. Chinese businesses enjoy a high technological level and competitiveness. The Chinese side is welcomed to expand investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to actively conduct mutually beneficial cooperation.

When meeting with Zoran Milanovic, Li Keqiang said that China-Croatia comprehensive cooperative partnership enjoys sound growth momentum. China is ready to strengthen cooperation with Croatia in the fields of railway connectivity construction, higher education and scientific research, and supports Chinese businesses for joining in port upgrading and renovation and construction of industrial parks in Croatia. China congratulates Croatia on becoming the 28th member state of the European Union (EU) and looks forward to the Croatian side playing a positive role in promoting China-EU relations and China-CEEC cooperation.

Milanovic expressed that Croatia-China cooperation is increasingly close with broad space. Croatia is ready to leverage the geographical advantage to strengthen cooperation with China in transport infrastructure and other fields so as to drive regional economic growth.

When meeting with Algirdas Butkevicius, Li Keqiang said that Lithuania is the largest trade partner of China among Baltic countries and bilateral cooperation has made substantial progress. Both sides should grasp the principle of mutual respect and equality to create favorable conditions for pushing forward bilateral relations. Both sides should leverage the role of the committee on economic and trade cooperation and other mechanisms to explore cooperation in the fields of railways, new energy, agriculture and people-to-people and cultural exchanges so as to consolidate the economic and social foundation for bilateral relations.

Butkevicius expressed that the 16th EU-China Summit had yielded fruitful outcomes and opened up broad prospects for EU-China cooperation. Lithuania is ready to strengthen cooperation with China in the fields of economy, trade, education, culture, port infrastructure construction and energy. Chinese businesses are welcomed to expand investment in Lithuania.

When meeting with Andrus Ansip, Li Keqiang said that further development of China-Estonia relations needs both sides earnestly respecting each other's core interests and major concerns. China is ready to work with Estonia to enhance political mutual trust, to boost cooperation in economy, trade, transport infrastructure and other fields and to expand people-to-people and cultural exchanges, so as to push for healthy and stable development of China-Estonia relations.

Ansip expressed that Estonia firmly adheres to the one-China policy, respects China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and admires China's development achievements. Estonia is ready to expand bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, education and culture to ensure that bilateral relations will continue to move ahead.
