Introduction about Chinese Visas and How to Apply

        There are four types of Chinese Visas as follows: Diplomatic, Courtesy, Official and Ordinary. The visas are granted up to the purpose of visit or type of passport etc. We are now mainly introducing Ordinary Visas. There are eight type of Ordinary Visas represented by D, Z, X, F, L, G, C, J-1, J-2.

"type D" is issued to those who will reside in China.

"type Z" is issued to those who will work in China.

"type X" is issued to those who will study in China.

"type F" is issued to those who will come to visit or do business etc. in China, invitation from China is required.

"type L" is issued to those who come to China for tourism or visit relatives etc. The applicant need be qualified enough for the tour.

"type G" is issued to those who need to transit in China. Air ticked and Valid Visa to destination country are required.

"type C" is issued to crew members.

"J-1" is issued to those journalists who will work in China.

"J-2" is issued to those journalists who will visit China temporarily.

Besides the necessary specific supporting documents to each of the above type of visas, there are basic requirements as follows:

1) Valid passport(six month or above before expired);

2) Neatly completed application form;

3) One recent photo;

4) Application fee (please refer to Fee Introduction)
