To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the restoration of China's legitimate seat in the United Nations and help the world to better understand Chinese culture and civilization, as well as the Chinese people's contributions to the world civilizations, a photo exhibition titled "the World Cultural Heritages in China", jointly sponsored by the Chinese Embassy and the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, was held at the Egyptian Center for International Cultural Cooperation from December 9th to December 13th, 2001, in Cairo.

The exhibition was inaugurated on December 9th, 2001. H.E. Mr. Liu Xiaoming, Chinese Ambassador to Egypt, and H.E. Mr. Samir Farag, the First Undersecretary for External Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Culture of Egypt.
